ArrowCorps was awesome! Interested in what we did? Check it out on the Service page!

Welcome, Arrowmen!

Wauna La-Mon’tay Lodge of the Order of the Arrow is an integral part of the programs of Cascade Pacific Council. Members of Wauna La-Mon’tay provide thousands of hours of service every year to Cascade Pacific Council’s camps and members. From Community Service Projects to serving on outstanding Camp Staffs, our lodge’s Arrowmen make up the best youth our council has to offer.

The purpose of the Order of the Arrow is fourfold:

  1. To recognize those Scout campers who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives
  2. To develop and maintain camping traditions and spirit
  3. To promote Scout camping
  4. To crystallize the Scout habit of helpfulness into a life purpose of leadership in cheerful service to others

Annual Unit OA Elections

It is that time of year again to for your annual Order of the Arrow election. Electing a Scout or Scouter to the Order of the Arrow is an excellent way for Scouts to honor a peer or leader that best exemplifies Scouting’s ideals of camping, servant leadership, and teamwork. Elections are conducted by a team of OA youth members from your District, or OA Chapter.

What have we been up to?

Lodge Members & Supporters,We tried something new with fundraiser patches this year producing a small number of special gold and silver bordered patches to gauge interest in our lodge, we significantly underestimated the demand for these gold and silver boarder patches both inside our lodge and in the greater OA community. When the LEC voted on these patches, the lodge bylaws were interpreted as no less than 75 patches of any design regardless of border color. When conferring with other members of the lodge, the intent of the subsection was given additional context, implying that the intent was 75 of any design, AND any border color. To resolve this issue, the LEC has voted to produce an additional 65 gold bordered flaps and 55 silver bordered flaps, to bring the total of each to 75 flaps. These additional flaps will be added to the current patch issue, and the numbers will be updated with national licensing. This will allow anyone who wishes to purchase one to do so. In addition, when the bylaws are reviewed later this year, a proposition will be made to add additional language to make this section more clear. At its heart, the purpose of these patches is to help raise money for our NOAC contingent and enable as many youth as possible to attend this amazing experience, regardless of financial ability. Increasing the number of special border patches both makes more patches available to the greater OA community while benefiting the youth of our NOAC contingent. We apologize for the confusion and disappointment that this has caused, thank you for being patient with us as work to resolve this.If you would like to support the Wauna La-Mon’tay NOAC contingent, please consider the purchase of a fundraiser flap or two at the link below while supplies last. Blue bordered patches are available for $10, Silver for $100, and Gold for $200.If you are ordering a gold or silver bordered flap, please note that there will be a slight delay in shipping these, as the additional stock has yet to arrive.store.cpc-oa.org/product/NOAC2024FundraiserFlap/268Thank you,Wauna La-Mon’tay Lodge Leadership ...
