Wauna La-Mon’tay Lodge had a great Fall Rendezvous! In addition to all the fun games and trainings we had at Meriwether, the lodge elected their new lodge leadership for 2023. Saturday morning, the lodge chief was elected, and after lunch the vice chiefs were elected.
Our new lodge leadership consists of:
- Mason Lewallen as Lodge Chief
- Aaron Watt as Membership Vice Chief
- Nathan Lebednik as Program Vice Chief
- Rai Istook as Ceremonies Vice Chief
- Trystan Stephens as Service Vice Chief
- Truman Grace as Communications Vice Chief
Following that, we had our trainings which featured two new trainings: RC plane flying and Pinewood Derby car making. There was also a service project during the trainings, where we assisted Ranger Steve Parks with the preparation of the little lodge for new siding and windows. After lunch & the vice chief elections were done, the activities started. We opened the ranges and the climbing tower, set up an escape room, pulled out the RC planes, and had an awesome pinewood derby race.
In the evening, the new leadership presented their vision and goals for the lodge and the chapters were given time for chapter meetings. Then our evening show started, featuring a multitude of awards and a fun game show where our lodge leadership competed against the chapter chiefs to see who could recreate the given scenes from Indiana Jones movie the best. The chapter chiefs won, but some may claim that the judges were a little biased, being made up of chapter representatives.
After the show, we held a brotherhood ceremony, where a number of Arrowmen where eligible arrowmen were given the opportunity to complete their induction journey. This ceremony was conducted by a new Brotherhood ceremonies team, which is special because it means we will have more ceremonialists to perform the parts at future inductions and events!
Sunday morning we left camp after a Scout’s own service. In conclusion, Wauna La-Mon’tay Lodge had a ton of fun and success at Rendezvous!
